Lincoln's indignation

Lincoln's inaugural speech gives Lincolns choice of words a righteous indignation. He explained to the public, within his speech, his reasoning and explanation of his view of the civil war and why it happened. Lincoln stated:"Both parties deprecated war; but one of them would rather make war than let the nation survive,".This statement says, in simpler words, that one side would rather destroy the government rather than let them have thier way. This gives evidence of his righteous indignation. Lincolns view was the correct view. He blamed the south for the war and he was correct in his blame point. Another statement of Lincoln's was this: "Both read the same bible, and pray to the same god; and eache invokes his aid against the other. It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God's assistance". Lincoln was right about this as well, he is simply saying that; no man should ask a fair god for assistance in a matter that is not his, it is man's problem. However, he is also making the statement that the south is unchristian. Lincoln wished to make slaves free men, this was a more just way, then that of the south's way. Lincoln's indignation is a righteous one.
